My name is Tymber Hudson( They/ Them) and I am excited to welcome you to They Slay! A multimedia blog centering my life as a Black Non-Binary person. I hope that this post provides you with a few more details about me, what I am passionate about, and the space I hope to create.
Who Is Tymber?
Black, Nonbinary, Queer, trauma survivor, writer, public speaker, organizer, and storyteller. I am a 25 year old multidisciplinary artist. Virgo sun, Libra rising and Aquarius moon. Basically I love to vacuum, try to do everything on my own, and freak about things that are out of my control.
I am an introvert with extrovert tendencies, I enjoy thought provoking conversations, and finding new ways to create positive impact within marginalized communities. My favorite color is green, my favorite movie is dream girls, and one of my favorite pastimes is snuggling with my Black cat Magik. I enjoy finding random DIY projects, cooking meals for friends, and spending time in nature.
I am committed to learning, unlearning, listening, and growing to be a better human.
Why are you starting a blog?
Why does anyone start a blog?! I got some shit to say! No but really, I want to create an online space to share about issues that are important to me.
I plan to explore the possibilities of content creation, push boundaries, and challenge myself to expand my knowledge and craft.
I want to collaborate with queer and trans folk across the world, while simultaneously centering the issues that are most important to me.
It’s funny that I landed on a blog because truth be told, sometimes writing can be a real challenge for me. The doubt and lack of self confidence can make quitting seem so much easier than taking time to organize my thoughts.
Most importantly, I want to uplift my friends, relatives, and colleagues across the movement.
What to expect?
Truthfully? Just go ahead and prepare for the unexpected because BAAAABY, my mind is always all over the place. Much like Beyonce, I LOVE a good surprise! ( insert laughing emoji)
Photoshoots, video content, opinion blogs or vlog, highlights from the day job, and more! For me there are very few limits.
All jokes aside, I do work full-time and I’m usually working on at least 2 consulting projects. In the future I would like to have a more consistent schedule for content but for now I will post when my schedule allows. If you have ideas or suggestions for content email me!
How do I stay in the know?
Good Question! Go ahead and bookmark your new favorite blog tymberhudson.com. All of my posts will be shared on my website. I will update my instagram and facebook once the new content has been made public.
